What type of service does STA Graydon offer?
We offer our clients a domestic and international debt recovery service in respect of unpaid commercial accounts and tracing services to located ‘gone away’ debtors.
Do you collect accounts from individuals?
Yes, we do as long as the individual owes you money for goods
sold and delivered or for services provided during the course of
business.
What information do you need to collect a debt?
We must have the full name and address of your debtor, telephone and fax numbers, amount outstanding, dates of invoices etc. Where you ask for legal action to be taken, we will also need copies of any relevant letters, invoices/statements, notes of conversations etc.
What do you do to collect an account?
A combination of letters, faxes and telephone calls. There is no fixed procedure as each debt is different. Normally, however, more emphasis is placed on telephone collection as this proves most effective.
How long does it take to collect an account?
Anything from 24 hours to 3 months, if legal action is needed.
What is your collect performance?
An impossible question to answer as it depends on the quality and nature of the industry relating to the debt received. We do have customers where we collect all their accounts, and others where we have not be able to collect anything despite our endeavours. Thankfully we don’t have too many of the latter.
How much does the debt collection service
cost?

| For UK debits under £500 (Letter service) | Price | |

Do your charges include litigation costs?
No. However we have negotiated preferential rates from our solicitors who specialise in debt recovery litigation.
What is the
cost?
As a member of the FSB and a valued client of STA Graydon you are entitled to benefit from the solicitor's Letter before Action. The letter will be sent to your customers for any debts remaining unpaid at the end of our pre-legal collection cycle.
When your customer does not pay following receipt of the
solicitor's Letter Before Action, STA Graydon will ask
for your authority to arrange legal action. Where you instruct
STA Graydon to do so, the case will be placed with
their lawyers, who will provide you with a full debt
litigation service in accordance with the enclosed specially
negotiated Price Schedule for STA Graydon clients.
